Rolf Lygren is a painter from Carmel Valley, California. He’s a skilled watercolorist, but also paints with oils and acrylics. Rolf has a passion for the plein air approach to painting, but loves studio painting too.

Rolf received a Bachelor’s degree (Art Major) from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In addition to his BA degree, he has participated in workshops to further his zeal for painting. Those workshops included internationally acclaimed painters: Irving Shapiro, Gerald Brommer, Timothy Clark, Charles Sovek and Gregory Kondos.
