Max’s Helping Paws reduces euthanasia, surrender and suffering by providing financial assistance for low and no income Monterey County residents with a pet in a health crisis.

Maximillian was the great love of our lives. He was 14 when he passed on May 27, 2016.  While grieving the loss, we imagined the guilt and heartbreak for those who might not be in a position to get the necessary treatments for their pet, or may need to euthanize or surrender them because of financial circumstances. Wanting to do something meaningful, and honor Max’s memory in a way that would help us heal while helping others, Max’s Helping Paws was born.

Max’s is a 501(c)3 non profit that has awarded more than a half million dollars to help hundreds of local pets.
