Carmel Valley Kiwanis

The Kiwanis Club of Carmel Valley is proud to have served this community for 70 years. Kiwanis is an Indian word that simply means “we build”. In that spirit we undertake public service projects and conduct fundraising activities. Money raised is distributed to support the youth and elderly through the many non-profit organizations in Carmel Valley.

Our major fund raising activity is the Carmel Valley Fiesta, which is held on the first weekend in August each year. It was born out of the 1989 centennial celebration for Carmel Valley. The event kicks off with a huge “Hoopla” BBQ. The Carmel Valley Park is filled with vendors featuring a variety of foods, arts & crafts, our local non-profits and games for the kids. Other events on the Fiesta grounds include a car show and dog show. Each day starts with a pancake breakfast at the Carmel Valley Community YOUTH Center. The weekend concludes with a raffle drawing for the Grand Prize: a one week stay in Costa Rica.

Beyond the Fiesta, the club sells Christmas trees, runs the Carmel Valley Railroad and caters private events. We can usually be found supporting other village festivities as we are called upon to provide BBQ and beverage services.
